Michael’s Bio

Hello There! Michael Breznau here… Thanks for perusing my thoughts, art, sermons, and music amid the crazy canvas of the web.

Life is an exciting whirlwind of adventure here at the Breznau mission station. Following the radical path of faith in Jesus Christ repeatedly proves to be the most exciting, satisfying, and rewarding life we could possibly live. And I really mean that. God has blown us away over and over again. His grace and creativity in redemption is shocking.

Our family ensemble plays in harmony (most of the time) and is composed of my beautiful, talented, and grace-giving wife, Stephanie, our ever-energetic son, Hudson, our darling daughter, Everlynn, our creative son, Carson, our toddler, Jack (born Nov. 24, 2021 – adopted), a soon-coming baby girl due June 22, 2024, and me, the conductor of our wonderful mess of music as we live on the mission of God for the glory of God.

God gave me the opportunity to be mentored and equipped for ministry at Dallas Theological Seminary, where I completed the Master of Theology program (Th.M – Pastoral Ministries). I also love to keep the learning and growing “carrot” out in front of my nose, so I’m currently in the fourth and final year of the Doctor of Ministry program at Talbot School of Theology at BIOLA University.

After serving on God’s mission as Pastor of Youth and Christian Education at Evangel Baptist Church in Taylor, MI for three years, God sent us to the great city of Grand Rapids where I had the privilege of serving as the Lead Pastor of North Park Baptist Church. Most recently, I served as Lead Pastor for the Gospel-loving people of Mayfair Bible Church in Flushing, MI (just outside of Flint) for nearly six years.

After 14 incredible years in pastoral ministry, including nine as a lead pastor, I now serve as an active-duty US Air Force Chaplain at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. I am the preaching pastor for the WPAFB Protestant Chapel congregation and the day-to-day chaplain for the 88th Air Base Wing’s Mission Support Group, totaling 1,800 Airmen. Click here for the story of how God led us into this mission field.

I have a passion to worship the risen Lord, a calling to tell others of the wondrous works of our God, and a vision for seeing the people of this world changed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I believe God has the power to transform lives, break the power of sin, strengthen families, restore marriages, heal broken hearts, and make anyone who calls on His name a new creation!
